Why does the size of your Snoopy wallet make a difference in your life? The answer to that is very simple. The bigger your billfold the more money you can put in it. If you have no need for anything on the larger side, it could be because you don't have all that much to stuff in. This isn't necessarily a problem. That sentiment is the remnants of the philosophy that my parents drilled into my head. I don’t know how much I agree with it these days. Sometimes, I wish I could go that way more in my thinking. But it's hard.

How big does your Snoopy wallet have to be to make you happy? I used to think that I would be just fine with next to nothing. That money does not buy happiness. I have left that train of thought behind me. A product of a former life. Part of the evils of working in a corporate setting, I think.
It is the rare perosn who can really live joyfully with nothing. If you have nothing then how would you make your rent. If your Snoopy wallet was really that empty, then you wouldn't be able to go where you want or eat what you want. You would be shackled by the financial chains thrust upon you by society.
Of course, we could bring the thought to a new level. We could take the necessities off the table. Let's say, for instance, that you had enough cash stuffed inside that Snoopy wallet to give yourself all the basics - food, shelter, water, etc. How much more would you need beyond that?
Maybe the answer to this question defines who we are. Like the idea that you can only be a Beatles man or an Elvis man, but not both. How big does that Snoopy wallet have to be? You can't have it all ways. Before, when I was a care-free artist, I could live eating ramen twice a day and getting together with my friends in the park. Now, my life is all about entertaining clients, and eating out to build a better relationship with them. I do like it. How could you not enjoy fancy dining? But I am getting farther and farther away from the life I was aiming to lead.
Back when I was in art school, just discovering Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the shenanigans that would take place with that football, I would never have even imagined this. Or went after it. And although I am content on many occasions, I can’t say that I am happier than I was those many years ago, with my artsy friends. We had very little money. But we were all close, and what times there were.
That's the end of my philosophy. I have no answers yet. What size Snoopy wallet will buy me that happiness again? I'm still figuring that out.
